Psalm 95:1-7, Thoughts on Worship

Came across this inspirational piece of Scripture Psalm 95:1-7

Psalm 95:1-7

New International Version (NIV)

 1 Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD;
let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
2 Let us come before him with thanksgiving
and extol him with music and song. 3 For the LORD is the great God,
the great King above all gods.
4 In his hand are the depths of the earth,
and the mountain peaks belong to him.
5 The sea is his, for he made it,
and his hands formed the dry land.6 Come, let us bow down in worship,
let us kneel before the LORD our Maker;
7 for he is our God
and we are the people of his pasture,
the flock under his care.

A great example of God’s love, what He has done for us and that we need to come together in praise and worship and praise Him enthusiastically in music and song. The depths of the earth are in His hands and the mountains belong to Him. God made the land and sea with His own hands. We bow down in worship – what a great expression of our love and thankfulness for what God has done for us, and to kneel down before the Lord our maker and Father.

This really encourages me in worshiipping Jesus. It gives us such a great example of how to honour God in our lives and to sing for joy, wow. just such a powerful message and it gives Christian worhsip teams and the congregation a level of worship to aim for. That’s what we need to be – an example of what God has set before us to be, joyfully praising, singing, kneeling before Him, coming together in unity, bowing down, giving honour to God, such a wonderful heart warming Psalm.

“If you hear His voice , do not harden your hearts” (Verse 8).
