God Will Fight for us

I would like to to recall me previous post “Oppression in Modern Society” and offer a little encouragement to it through:

Psalm 119:105

New International Version (NIV)

105 Your word is a lamp for my feet,
a light on my path.

I pray and hope that it be true in everybody elses life.

In Exodus 14:1-4 God instructed Moses to trun back and camp near the Red Sea, so it would make Pharaoh think that they were just wondering around the dessert aimlessly, and to make Pharaoh pursue them. I feel God could do this in our own lives, make it look like we are wondering around aimlessly to confuse the enemy to what God is really up to in our lives, using us for a greater purpose. Sometimes though we can feel confused as well, but if we remember and apply

Exodus 13:21-22

New International Version (NIV)

21 By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night. 22 Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night left its place in front of the people.

to our lives, God goes before us in every battle in our lives and in that we will find direction.

Exodus 14:14

New International Version (NIV)

14 The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

In parting the red Sea, Moses stood up and boldly proclaimed his trust in God. God was teaching Moses through the progression of the plagues that He was powerful, and that God had a plan and that He wants us to trust and obey Him.

We need to apply this to our own lives – to stand and proclaim our trust in God. It is one thing to have all the right answers, but another to actually publicly take action when the pressure is on us. And we will find that when we do this we will have a great defining moment in our own relationship with God.
